Nas has signed a one year endorsement deal with South Korea’s largest sportswear manufacturing company, Fila. In exchange for Nas wearing the latest Fila products, the company will be providing financial support for additional advertising campaigns for Nas’ upcoming album Untitled.
Additionally, and more excitingly, Nas will also co-create a new line of Fila street wear inspired by late-80’s fashion.
“My best friend Will and I loved Fila. It represented prestige and everything that was cool to us. When Will passed, we buried him in a black Fila sweat suit, so doing a deal with them has a lot of significance for me.”
In other Nas news, yet more tracks have leaked off of his latest album dropping July 15th; it wouldn’t surprise us if the whole album is on the internet within the next few days. It’s rumored that G-Unit boss 50 cent is behind the leak, but we’re not so sure how realistic that is. Anyway, check out the first new track below, entitled “Breathe”:

Both tracks are strong and it is looking like Untitled may be a true classic. Roll on July 15th.
Latest Fila/Nas Bargains
Everyone is watching the beef between Buck and 50 lately, but they’re missing out on all of the good shit that’s been dropping in between; take this mixtape for example – it’s one of the illest tapes we’ve heard in the past few months. ThisIs50 Volume 3 features the big boss 50 going in over some of the hardest old school classics around, and it simply should not be missed if you’re a G-Unit or 50 fan.

The long awaited ‘Rocawear Premium Line’, aka, ‘Jay’s Looks’ – the clothing in which Jay-Z has been wearing around on his tours lately – has finally been revealed, and we have all of the pics right here for your viewing pleasure. There is still no official release date or price list for these threads, but at least we know they’re in production now.
We’re not quite sure what we think of this piece. It looks a little too shiney for our liking. It also looks like crap when it’s reversed, but, let’s move on…
These jeans are pretty fly; depending on price (this is the premium line, after all) these could become a must cop.

Latest Rocawear Bargains
Today Paul Rosenberg, head of Shady Records and manager of Eminem, made a brief statement regarding Obie’s departure following the news we broke a few days ago.
“Shady Records has agreed to allow Obie Trice to pursue his craft in a different forum free from the constraints of the current major label model,” though “Eminem will continue to support and work with Obie on many levels of his career,” and “He remains a close friend and member of the Shady family.”
It appears that Obie still has a healthy relationship with Eminem and the Shady camp; he just wants complete artistic freedom, which is understandable, given that artists such as Stat Quo still have not been allowed to release their album.
