We just got word of this fresh tee featuring Weezy’s trademark tatoos; the shirt is based on the tupac version (also going by the name “Tatoo’d Up”) and I have to say, I’m digging this shirt. With The Carter 3 going Platinum first week, there’s no better time to rock a Lil’ Wayne shirt.

Here we have a freshly leaked track from Game’s upcoming and final album, LAX. The track was produced by Cool & Dre, and we have to say, it’s fiyahhhh. One of the best Game tracks we’ve heard in recent times. Listen to the track below; hopefully, the rest of LAX will be this dope too (well, we’ve already heard another 2-3 off the album that weren’t bad, but we want better!)

We all saw it coming, but Wayne’s number #1 album The Carter 3 has finally been knocked off the top spot by Nas’ latest album, Untitled.

The album shifted 187,078 copies in its debuting week, which does not compare to Lil’ Waynes million sold in the first week, but considering Nas had no commercial heavy hitting chart topping singles (bar Hero, but even that wasn’t dumbed down enough for chart dominance), we’d say he’s done pretty damn good as far as sales go.

Nas’ Untiteld was released officially on 15th July. You can read our thoughts on the album here.

Kano is no stranger to the UK hip-hop/grime scene, though he’s still not seen the huge success of the likes of Dizzee Rascal and The Streets – and we’re not sure why. Not only has his continuously brought us fire through his unique and ever changing flow, he’s improved on every one of his albums and mixtapes.

Now he’s back with 140 Grime Street, due to be dropping this September. Be on the lookout for this one; could it be Kano’s time to rise to the top?

Last night was Jay-Z’s Manchester show (part of his UK ROCnation tour) and we, living in Manchester, decided to attend. We’re so glad we did. Not only did Mark Ronson bring Rhymefest (who totally killed his set), Hov brought out non other than Kanye West.

It was only 8 months ago when Kanye brought out Jay – also in Manchester – so they either really like Manchester, or ‘Ye just decided to return the favor. Either way, it was amazing. Check the video out above.

Compton is the birth place of West Coast gangster rap – the harsh streets were narrated by the likes of Dr Dre and Eazy E. Hip-Hops monumental NWA track Straight Outta Compton literally paved the way for the entire West Coast to appear as a heavyweight in the game.

Several years later, another emcee appeared from Compton with the ability to put Compton on his back – literally – and bring West Coast hip-hop back. Dre called him hip-hops savior. That’s big.

It’s the album the hip-hop community has been desperate to get their hands on; Nas’ eighth (or ninth) studio album is finally here. The tracklist we previously reported was 100% correct, so no surprises are in store for those of you who thought that this album would be somehow different from the leak tracks – though with that said, a few tracks have been properly mixed now (such as The Slave & The Master) and have been perfected.

This should really be a must-have for any Nas (or hip-hop) fan. It’s the first album this year that actually talks about things that matter. Nas really shows off his poetic genius in this album, right from the very first track; Nas rhymes “I’m over their heads like a bulimic on a see-saw” – it’s not often a line goes over my own head, but Nas managed to get me going, “Huh?” and thinking about what he just said. He is a genius, and at the moment, nobody comes close to him in the rap game.

I’ll say it again – this album is a must have for hip-hop fans. This album is a must have for MUSIC fans.

Best album of ‘08 – it’s unlikely we’ll see better, unless Detox really does drop this year.

Cop Untitled!

Here’s a fresh new Busta Rhymes track which leaked late yesterday; it features a dope appearance from Ludacris, and an average one from Weezy. Overall, it’s a solid track, and will most likely be on Busta’s upcoming album Blessed.

Blessed is due for release this August.
