Three brand new floral camouflage style Bathing Ape bandanna are now available at online retailer Cliff Edge. The three colour variations are green, blue and pink. The price is $60, which is unusually steep for a bandanna which looks like my grandmas curtains - but hey, it’s Bape. They would sell even if they had Britney’s face plastered over them.

If anyone is a regular reader of hip-hop magazine XXL, then they’ll recognize the cover to the right. Check out how many chains Weezy is wearing; a large selection, no doubt! We wanted to dig deep and find out exactly what he was wearing, and well… it didn’t go so well. It turns out a good few of those chains were custom made or one-offs.

However, we did manage to find out that he was wearing a Platinum Edition 550 Clear Stones Bracelet which will set you back a cool $399 - of course to him $399 is just spare change.

The platinum iced out bracelet weighs a hefty 8 ounces and is available at IOG now.

We don’t usually post much about artists and such but I had to mention this new track (if you haven’t heard it already). Today Buck released a new track titled “My Interview” in which he responds to all of the comments Fif has been making over the past month or so. I must admit, Young Buck is one real dude; with Curtis saying things like “Young Buck does shit for attention” and “Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit”, he had to respond.

Listen to the track and take it in. Real talk. I think it’s great how he doesn’t scoop down to 50’s level and straight up diss him.

Brand new to Rocawear from their spring range is this colorful graffiti style polo shirt. It features a similar design to last years spring striped polo shirt, except this year the people over at the Roc have injected it with some good old hip-hop style in the form of a screen printed graffiti graphic. The polo also features  a vented hem and the Rocawear logo crest rests on the left sleeve. A welcome addition to the quickly growing 2008 Rocawear catalog!

Brand new in from the dirty south clothing line Algierz (worn by the likes of T.I, Dipset and Young Jeezy) is this fresh new shirt. This one is for the block bleeders that like to roll in candy-painted wheels with 84’s and woodgrain. You know who you are.

Algierz has tentatively named it the “Slab Club”and is available in Red in a variety of sizes at MixUnit now.

We have mentioned these Bape G-Shock Watches here before, but we’ve never actually posted about them. So, I took it upon myself to make a post about one now. I decided we’d be looking at the yellow version, simply because that’s my favourite (even though I own a white one) and also because it’s the one Kanye wore on the Friday Night Project in the UK. For an upcoming feature, we’ll be decoding Kanyes outfit he wore on there, so I thought it would be a good idea to write individually about each of the pieces too over time.

So, yes! The Bape G-Shock watch comes in a large varity of colours, and Kanye has probably worn all of them by now (honestly, there’s pictures floating around with him wearing pink ones, white ones, yellow ones) so you know they’re all top quality - but that’s what we’ve come to expect from Japanese urban heavyweight Bathing Ape.  The watch is made of a very high quality plastic which has a very smooth feel; as you might guess, the G-Shock is shock resistant and is also water resistant.

You can pick these up online for a decent price, but beware - a lot of people are selling fakes. The easiest way to tell if you’re buying a fake or not is to see whether the text above the “G” button (which by the way illuminates the display, revealing the Bape logo in the background) says “Go! Ape” - if it does not say Go Ape, then it’s a fake. Of course, some people don’t really care if they have a fake or not, in which case is ok - but I just wanted to put that out there.

Me, being the only UK-based writer at Urban Lookout, often get asked the following question (I’ll quote the most recent variation of this question that I’ve received through the Contact Us page):

“Where is the best place to buy brands like Rocawear and LRG in the UK? I can’t find any decent online (or offline!) stores.”

It’s not that surprising I’m asked this so often; after all, hip-hop influenced brands like Rocawear are targeted at US markets, and that market is several times over the size of the UK market wanting urban wear. In the streets, there are very (and I mean very) few places to buy urban wear. You’ll be lucky to come across one; and if you do, it’s likely they wont have much of a selection. Heck, it’s hard enough to find a decent online retailer. However, I do know of two great ones, and I’ll do a quick review of each for the benefit of our UK-based readers. Again, these two sites are the best I’ve found from personal experiance, so if you know of any more good ones please leave a comment below and I’ll add it to the article!

Alright, first up is Urban Venom;

Urban Venom are an established online urban clothing retailer that have been around for several years now. I have used them five or six times, and have almost always received my order the very next day (that’s to Manchester). I presume they have a warehouse around here, as sometimes I order as late as 6 pm and I still have it the next day; very impressive service. Goods are usually packaged well, and prices are fair on most brands (a few could use a few £’s shaving off, but the speedy delivery more than makes up for it). Highly recommended!

Secondly is Yukka:

Yukka, like Urban Venom, has been around for a couple of years now. There prices are very cheap (a lot of their prices undercut Urban Venom) and they stock a huge range.  Where Yukka fall on quality is their delivery times; I’ve ordered several times from Yukka and have not received my items until a good 6-7 days. This is not too much of a problem, but it has still been enough for me to go with Urban Venom a little more than Yukka. Still, I love the huge range of clothing Yukka stock, and they are still recommended!

So there you have it; two great places to buy all of your Urban Clothing from if you’re a fellow Brit like me. I hope this has helped some of you guys; please leave a comment if you know a good site I’ve missed!
