R.I.P Pimp C - You will be missed forever.
I’m sure all of you know that one half of the UGK duo, rapper Pimp C, has tragically died. His cause of death is still quite unknown, although it is said to be almost certainly natural causes. I’m just glad he wasn’t shot or stabbed. I’ve always been a fan of supporting artists through the medium of t-shirts, and this is certainly no exception. There is no better way for me to pay respects to Pimp C than to wear one of these “RIP Pimp C” t shirt. I’ll happily wear this to show my support to Bun B and the friends and family of Pimp C. They are very cheap and look nice and professional. It is certainly worth the money.

A lot has happened in the last twelve months in the urban industry. Pharrell beefed up his Ice Cream line. Kanye was seen rocking the LRG Dead Serious skeleton hoody. Jay-Z sold Rocawear for $300 million dollars. But what about the year for hip-hop? Was Nas right? Did hip-hop really, really die?

Nike AF1 (Nike Air Force Ones if you’re awkward and want the full name) have a very long history. Let’s look at some af1 release dates. The air force ones were released way back in 1982, however we only started to see custom af1’s around eight years ago. Nike air force one’s have came a very long way. You should see some of the crazy custom af1’s some of the big rappers have. Kanye West particularly has some very gorgeous custom af1 shoes. Wow we sure do mention Kanye a lot at Urban Lookout! Well, he seems to own every piece of clothing we blog about, heh. Stop buying them, Kanye.
Anyway. On to today’s review. We have a stunning pair of custom air force ones courtesy of MixUnit. These specific custom af1’s are the GourmetKickz™ Customs; ‘Death at Dawn AF1’. They are orange, red and black in colour and feature an amazing looking and feeling fabric overlay containing images of skeletons. They would be the perfect match to the LRG skeleton hoodie we mentioned a few days ago. These af1’s are hand painted and feature a custom tongue tag. Check the picture. They are stunning and very comfy. The exterior feels like no other shoe. It’s yummy. So, looking for a pair of custom af1 shoes? Look no further. Cop these af1’s.

This is more of an update than a review, as we’ve already posted about the fantastic LRG skeleton hoodie, codenamed ‘lrg dead serious’. But LRG have really outdone themselves, again.
There are now a whole bunch of different colors available, rather than just the black!
Apparently there has always been more than one color of the skeleton hoody, but I’ve never seen one until today. Maybe I’m just blind and missed them on eBay. I just wanted to let you all know! You can see some of the cool colors below. Great work LRG. Bad work me for not mentioning this in the other post.

Rocawear sneakers have never really been that hot, but things are beginning to change. We’re starting to see pure, raw fiyah from the latest line of Rocawear shoes. These are no exception.
They are so damn comfy, maybe even rivaling Pharrell’s Ice cream’s, who knows. These specific sneakers are by PRO-Keds, and they’ve done a brilliant job. Check the design, it’s so nice. I’m glad they feel as nice as they look; the rocawear sneakers feature cushioned insoles for extra comfort. If you don’t like comfort, you can remove them, ideal for all of those self-harming people. Now this one is really something special, guys. This is probably the most hyped hoodie ever to exist. What started this off, you ask? Kanye was caught wearing one of these babys back at the Stella clothing awards. It’s lrg. It’s dead serious. It’s the LRG Dead Serious hoody. Seriously though, these things are like hotcakes. They sell out like hotcakes. Tasty, tasty hotcakes. Dead serious, lrg, hotcakes. Enough about hotcakes!
This beauty features a full size, anatomically correct skeleton from skull to spine. You can zip the hood all the way up over your face, and still see. Wow, is it magic? No, they’ve put mesh over the eyes. Awesome. LRG have done a great job. Dead serious delivers. Seriously. To top things off, the skeletons head even has two gold teeth. Hell yeah! The main problem with the hoody however, is that it sells out way too fast. It’s so hard to find. Luckily, eBay usually has quite a lot of ‘em if you look hard enough. I’m excited. This is my first post about the legendary Rocawear clothing line. Rocawear is everywhere. Rocawear is available in the UK, the US, hell, even Japan. Jay-Z has really done a great job with his clothing line; he recently sold it for around 300 million dollars. He’s still part of the company, but wow.
Anyway, let’s get in to the review. Today we have the Rocawear Floral Skull jean.
First of all, they feel amazing. The denim is thick and very, very high quality. This is the kind of quality we’ve began to know from Jay’s clothing line. These are really classy jeans, ideal for a night out. These jeans feature a pretty nice button fly closure, five pockets, and belt loops. What really makes these jeans stand out however are the two floral emblems on both sides of the butt. The hanging extra loop just makes it look even sexier. To finish things off, the jeans even feature a suede floral print on one of the back flaps, while the other has a small black scarf draped over it. Very hot.
These jeans are actually quite expensive, but boy, are they worth that price tag. You need to see them to believe how hot they look. See below for more details and where to buy. You may also find a pair for a little cheaper on eBay if you look hard enough.

Over the past few years Pharrell has made a huge success of his Ice Cream sneaker range; he went from being the new boy on the block to being one of the biggest names in the urban clothing scene. These specific Board Flip II shoes come in a variety of delicious colours; flavors, as Pharrell calls them.
Once again Pharrell has chosen with Reebok to manufacture and distribute the sneakers, which was defiantly a good choice. The Board Flip II’s have been getting heat from three-hundred and sixty degrees. Yes, that’s correct. Everywhere. The sneakers have generated insane amounts of hype from both within the skating community and from fashion blogs, magazines and TV shows everywhere. To add to the fire, Kanye West wore these exact Ice Cream shoes on a few different TV shows, such as The Friday Night Project in the UK.
These are currently the king of the urban sneaker world. Get a pair, now. Heck, get two. Kanye has six different pairs. If you don’t, you’re loosing out on a chance to stand out from the crowd. So the big question is: Where can I get a pair? They are selling faster than Britney’s dignity, but you can still find them if you look hard enough. The first place to try is Amazon. They charge a very, very fair amount and have a nice selection of colours and sizes available. Alternatively, you may find an even more wild range of colours (and even wilder prices!) over at the good ol’ eBay.
